Use this page to help customers feel confident brewing with cloth — without overcomplicating things. This is not about being perfect; it’s about enjoying better coffee.

POUR OVER (Chemex, Hario, Kalita, Melitta, Aeropress, Espro, Stagg… Styles)

Cloth pour over brewing highlights body, aroma, and natural oils while keeping your cup clean and smooth.

What you’ll need:

  • CoffeeSock pour over filter

  • Medium grind coffee

  • Hot water (just off boil)

How to brew:

  1. Place the CoffeeSock in your dripper

  2. Add coffee grounds

  3. Slowly pour hot water in a circular motion

  4. Allow coffee to fully drain before removing

Tips for best results:

  • Pour slowly for even extraction

  • Expect a richer body than paper

  • No pre-rinse required

DRIP MACHINES (Traditional Basket, Drip #4, Drip #6, Percolator)

CoffeeSock drip filters work just like paper — but deliver more flavor and less waste.

What you’ll need:

  • CoffeeSock drip filter

  • Medium grind coffee

  • Standard drip machine

How to brew:

  1. Place the filter in the basket

  2. Add grounds

  3. Brew as usual

Tips:

  • Compatible with most home machines

  • Fuller-bodied coffee than paper

  • Rinse promptly after brewing

COLD BREW (Toddy Style, Mason Jar)

Cloth filters are ideal for cold brew, allowing long extraction without bitterness.

What you’ll need:

  • CoffeeSock cold brew filter

  • Coarse grind coffee

  • Cold water

  • Jar or brewing container

How to brew:

  1. Add coffee to the filter

  2. Submerge in water

  3. Steep 12–24 hours in the fridge

  4. Remove filter and enjoy

Tips:

  • Coarse grind prevents over-extraction

  • Rinse immediately after use

  • Store concentrate refrigerated

TEA

CoffeeSock filters give loose-leaf tea room to expand, producing clearer, more flavorful cups.

What you’ll need:

  • Loose-leaf tea

  • Hot water

How to brew:

  1. Add tea leaves to the filter

  2. Steep according to tea type

  3. Remove and compost leaves

NUT MILK

CoffeeSock nut milk filters are strong enough to handle squeezing while producing smooth, creamy results.

What you’ll need:

  • Blended nut or seed mixture

How to strain:

  1. Pour mixture into the filter

  2. Gently squeeze to extract liquid

  3. Compost pulp
